Privacy and data controls
CHAI requires an account and stores conversation data. Its July 2026 mobile-app privacy policy says de-identified conversation content may be used to improve its models, free users may receive advertising, and account data may be retained for up to five years after deletion unless a longer legal period applies. Users can delete their account in the app. Apple's disclosure also says usage data may be used for tracking.
